In the name of our Creator, the most Beneficent and most Merciful…
I reflect on a piece of writing I came across a few months ago…Such beneficial extracts. As you read it, there is a sense of comfort…a sense of security…I expanded on them with a few more verses…
What you say, and what the Almighty responds…
Oh Allah,
I told You: I am in pain;
You said: Despair not of the mercy of Allah (39:53)
I told You: Nobody knows what is in my heart;
You said: ‘Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest/satisfaction’ (13:28)
I told You: Many people hurt me;
You said: ‘So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them’ (3:159)
I told You: I feel I’m alone;
You said: ‘We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein’ (50:16)
I told You: My sins are so many;
You said: ‘And who can forgive sins except Allah’ (3:135)
I told You: Do not leave me;
You said: ‘So remember Me; I will remember you.’ (2:152)
I told You: I’m facing a lot of difficulties in life;
You said: ‘And whoever fears Allah He will make for him a way out’ (65:2);
and ‘With every difficulty there is ease’ (94:6)
I told You: I have many dreams that I want to come true;
You said: ‘Call upon Me; I will respond to you.’ (40:60)
I told You: I sometimes feel afraid;
You said: ‘Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing’ (20:46)
I told You: I don’t always get what I want or need;
You said: ‘But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you, and perhaps you love a thing and it is not good for you, and Allah knows, while you know not’ (2:216)
I told You: I am going through hardship and adversities;
You said: ‘…give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere’ (2:155);
‘…when afflicted with calamities: “to God we belong and to Him shall we return” ‘ (2:156);
‘And whoever fears Allah He will make for him a way out’ (65:2)
and ‘With every difficulty there is ease’ (94:6).
So Be to Allah as He wishes, and He will be to you more than you can wish for…
Allahu akbar – God is most Great!!
