Alhamdulillah (“Algmd”)/ Praise be to God alone was adopted from the first verse of the Quran (Al-Fatiha).

Why should we say Algmd after every success, failure, loss, gain, after every duah/prayer, meal, etc. Does Allah swt actually need our praise?

Could it be when we say Algmd, we say it for ourselves to immediately stop our ego’s from stepping in between the event and our higher self. A mechanism to avoid any form of arrogance from developing in our hearts?

Could it be a reminder that we cannot be entitled to anything, that every single thing is a gift…Solidifying our gratitude?

Can Algmd hence serve as a protective mechanism for our own hearts?

Whenever Allah swt guides us, he guides us not because he needs what we do or say, we are guided for our own sake. Everything for the benefit of our souls, which precedes our physical being…beyond this temporary life…

Algmd… All praise be to Allah swt🙏🙏
