In the name of our Creator, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Connecting more dots…

I was reading the chapter of Yunus (AS)/Jonas (The whale story) and stumbled across the below, I immediately connected it back to a previous reflection…

“10:99: If it had been thy Lord’s will, they would all have believed,- all who are on earth! wilt thou then compel mankind, against their WILL, to believe!”

I overheard someone in conversation ask why would a Creator so Great, so Merciful, so Compassionate, create a species with so many flaws and weaknesses…resulting in so much ugliness in this world…?

What is the source of this flaw or weakness …? What is at the source within humanity that creates this ugliness…?

My thoughts…humanity is created with the greatest obligation being the greatest gift compared to all Creations…FREEWILL…

Imagine we were created without this quality…imagine we were programmed by an exact order or law… We would be no different to any other creation, a tree, an animal, a plant, the ocean, the mountains, etc. none of which has been granted freewill. We would effectively be robots…Instead we are limitless in all aspects of life…there is no limit to love, kindness, compassion, mercy, justice, in the application of our unique abilities and talents…Our ability to attain endless levels of consciousness, mindfulness/awareness and to ultimately live our true purpose is endless…

The flaw or weakness is not in the gift of FREEWILL, it is a consequence of how we choose to respond to this gift…

Every moment we have a choice, every day we have an opportunity to start anew…

I still had one more question…Why would our Creator provide humanity with this significant obligation being this powerful gift of freewill, which can go either way, but not provide any form of practical, explicit, relevant guidance to accompany it…? Surely freewill without the practical guidance by our Creator, could potentially result in misaligned outcomes.

Connecting the dots, my reflection, my thoughts…since there are no longer Prophets to guide nations, surely there needed to be a very clear, concise practical guide, with no contradictions, on how to navigate this life, guidance that is relevant for all times…and if so, could the combination of freewill and the sincere, conscious, mindful application of this practical guidance provided by our Creator, result in a peaceful life?

I further reflect on a verse which resonated with me…
“We did indeed offer the Trust (Our deputation) to the Heavens and the Earth and the Mountains; but they refused to undertake it, being afraid thereof: but man undertook it;- He was indeed unjust and foolish…33:72”
